Microdermabrasion Skin Resurfacing

Microdermabrasion is a great option for people with dull skin. Traditional microdermabrasion utilizes a controlled spray of fine aluminum oxide crystals to remove the most superficial layers of the skin. The DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing System is another form of microdermabrasion that uses the polishing action of diamond chips and the cleaning action of vacuum to reveal a smoother, more supple top layer of skin.

There is evidence to suggest that the microdermabrasion process promotes the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the dermis, resulting in skin healing and renewal. The treatment may result in a mild stinging that resembles the feeling of a windburn, and any redness that results will resolve in a day. You can return to your daily activities immediately upon completion of the treatment. We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions spaced one or two weeks apart to achieve a significant result. After that, a touch up treatment every month or every other month is suggested to maintain the results.
