Avoid sun exposure, use of tanning beds, use of tanning lotions and/or spray tan application for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend a course of antiviral medication pre and post treatment.
Stop use of tretinoin / Retin-A one week prior to treatment.
Avoid any skin exfoliation (scrubs, exfoliants, facial brushes, etc.) a few days prior to procedure.
Redness and/or swelling are common and should resolve within 10 days.
Treated pigment will turn darker within 24-48 hours.
To avoid scarring, scabbing and/or bleeding, avoid picking at treated areas.
Treated pigment may slough off the treated area in approximately 1-2 weeks post treatment.
Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Avoid heat, saunas, hot tubs and strenuous activity until skin is healed.
Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.) for 7 days after treatment.
Do not use an electric or manual facial brush of any kind for 7 days after your treatment.
To enhance results and minimize potential side effects, ask your provider about skincare products recommended post- treatment.
Resume your regular skin care routine 7-10 days post treatment, or as directed by your skincare provider.
